Fast Track and Dolly

We made the Fast Track Dolly ourselves some years ago. Frustrated with having to build dollies every time we moved them, we built a dolly that could remain assembled and was easy to carry about and transport. We have transported these dollies all over the world; all you need is a cable tie around the handle, stick on a luggage label, and it’s tough enough to travel without a case.

At the same time we developed a very simple plastic tube rail system that was light enough to easily carry, even up a ladder. The basic rail kit, which gives you 9m of track as well as a 90° curve, weighs ***** The dolly itself is designed so it will run on standard steel rails as well and we have also since then made a lightweight circular plastic track, which we think is probably the only one on the market.

The whole system is designed to take seconds to put together; you just clip your tripod onto the top of it with the three footholds and either push/pull alongside it with the handle or ride on it. The dolly is designed to flex when you stand on it so that you can still achieve a smooth track even on uneven ground, as the dolly doesn’t suddenly rock but instead flexes.
